Candle Care Tips and Safety Instructions.
Willow & Bay products are CLP compliant; each product comes with a safety label which can be found on the bottom of the jar/bottle (as seen below). Candles are also sent with Candle Care instructions/tips to ensure you get the most out of your Willow & Bay candle.
The regulation in practise here is EU’s Classification, Labelling & Packaging Regulation (CLP for short) which after 1st June 2015, stipulated that all new products with hazardous substances must be labelled accordingly. CLP applies to a non-cosmetic product of any size containing a hazardous substance such as fragrance or essential oils, including Candles and Reed Diffusers.
Candle Care Card
Each product comes with a Candle Care Card which suggests ways to get the most out of your Willow & Bay candle, including:
trimming your wick before use;
allowing the candle to burn right to the edge of the jar so it burns evenly; and
burn for a maximum of 4 hours at a time.
